The interdisciplinary workshop "Aesthetics: Form, Content, Theme" on 25–26 March 2026 will address aesthetic topics from various perspectives in the humanities.
Keynote speakers Julian Johnson (University of London) and Iris Dankemeyer (Hamburg University of Applied Sciences) will give presentations on aesthetic experience and its relation to philosophical questions, as well as on acoustic perception. Eight speakers from the University of Graz and international visiting scholars will shed light on various topics and approaches to questions of aesthetics from different perspectives in the humanities. Urban from the Department of Arts and Musicology (Section Arts) will speak on the topic "Faces of the Landscape: The Aesthetic and Ideological Representation in the Photographs of Erna Lendvai-Dircksen".
