Image and sound. The new Department for Art and Music Studies combines the fields of study of art history and musicology since October 2023. The field of activity of both disciplines is broad and encompasses a variety of media and art forms.

How to find us

The Section of Arts is located on the second floor of the main building of the University (Universitätsplatz 3)

The Section of Musicology is located on the left on the second floor of the Meerscheinschlössl (Mozartgasse 3).

Opening hours of the Section of Arts office: Mon to Thu 9am-12pm and by arrangement

Opening hours of the Section of Arts library: Mon to Thu 10am-4 pm and Fri 9am-12pm. (Please refer to the subpage for opening hours outside of class times)

Opening hours of the secretariat and library of the Section of Musicology: Mon to Thu 9am-12pm and 1pm-3pm and by arrangement.
