The Section of Art History has its own library, which is stocked with important reference works, monographs, collected journals and periodicals. In addition, the department manages archival material on the artist Mallitsch and monument conservator Graus. The photo collection is located at a depot site and is therefore only accessible to a limited extent. The holdings are supplemented on an ongoing basis.

Inventory and research possibilities
The library provides students, researchers, teachers and interested users with the following items:
- Art scientific literature (books, journals).
- This stock can be accessed via the online catalog of the Graz University Library: Uni=kat
- Digital image archive (prometheus)
- The University Library Graz has licensed the image archive Prometheus and you can use this image archive on the whole campus of the University of Graz. Via Prometheus you have the possibility to search and download scientifically validated image sources. Access from home is possible via the VPN service of the Uni-IT. Use and borrowing
Our library is a presence library, which means that all books and periodicals can be used on the library premises. Borrowings are possible over the weekend from Friday to Monday and over the vacations at certain times. Vacation opening hours and borrowing times are announced on the homepage.
