This project is dedicated to a history of knowledge in the arts with a view to both the genesis of their epistemes and methods as well as the direct exchange and transfer between the arts and other knowledge systems. Since my research work also addresses the specific knowledge of the arts, I work not only on artistic processes, media and techniques and the knowledge associated with them, but also - in each case on specific topics - repeatedly directly with artists, scientists and curators, certainly with the aim of being able to observe and analyze the emerging exchange processes in statu nascendi in order to develop a methodological and systematic history of artistic practice and theory as well as contemporary artistic knowledge.
