Ingeborg Zechner
Studied musicology and business administration at the University of Graz and the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz. Doctorate at the Department of Musicology at the University of Graz on Italian opera in 19th century London. From 2015 to 2019 research assistant at the Gluck Research Center at the University of Salzburg. 2018/19 Fulbright Visiting Scholar at Syracuse University (NY). 2023 Habilitation in musicology at the University of Graz. Since 2020 head of a research project funded by the Austrian Science Fund (FWF) on the composer Franz Waxman. In April 2024 launches GuDiE, a scholarly digital edition of Philipp Gumpenhuber's theater chronicles. At the same time, Ingeborg Zechner and Sarah Fuchs are publishing the bilingual book series "Musik und Medialität/Music and Mediality" as part of Rombach Wissenschaft's musicology publishing program.
