The project systematically examines Giuseppe Tartini's barely researched, cosmopolitan instrumental pedagogy of his "Scuola delle Nazioni" in the 18th century, analyses his training system, materials and networks as well as the Europe-wide dissemination by his students.

The project will examine the impact of this concept on the interpretation of the musicians and on the work of the composer herself, as well as its effect on the audience. At the same time, the consequences of this innovative compositional practice for musicological knowledge are the subject of the research.
