The international conference “Aesthetic Languages of the Public Sphere” examines how aesthetic forms – from art, film and media to performance and urban spaces – shape public perception, political discourse and social interactions. The focus is on historical continuities and current paradigm shifts in the aesthetic design of the public sphere from an interdisciplinary perspective.

The international and interdisciplinary conference "Die Handschrift des Demiurgen: Stildenken und Naturwahrnehmung" brought together researchers from the fields of art, cultural studies and musicology at the University of Graz on 27 and 28 November 2025. As part of the faculty's focus on "Perception: Episteme, Aesthetics, Politics", the conference focussed on questions regarding the relationship between style, the experience of nature and epistemological practice.
