Buch auf Buch. Nächster Band der Geschichte der venezianischen Malerei von Günter Brucher am Institut für Kunstgeschichte präsentiert

Am 8. Mai 2019 präsentierte Univ.-Prof. Dr. Günter Brucher in konsequenter zweijähriger Abfolge den neuesten Band seiner bahnbrechenden Geschichte der venezianischen Malerei in einem wie zu den besten Zeiten der Grazer Kunstgeschichte gut gefüllten Hörsaal vor begeistertem Publikum. Er durfte zahlreiche Ehrengäste begrüßen wie Altbürgermeister Stingl, Univ.-Prof. Dr. Walter Höflechner als langjährigen Dekan, Altstadtanwalt Dr. Manfred Rupprecht mit kunstaffiner Tochter, und viele Wegbegleiterinnen und Wegbegleiter seiner beeindruckenden kunstwissenschaftlichen Laufbahn, die vom Extraordinariat in Graz zum Ordinariat nach Salzburg führte mit zahlreichen Zwischenstationen im In- und Ausland. Der aktuelle Band erschließt das Werk von Paolo Veronese und Jacopo Bassano in singulärer analytischer Brillanz. Diese durfte das zahlreich erschienene Fachpublikum in einem wortgewaltigen Vortrag mit unterhaltsamen Einblendungen miterleben. Ein Feuerwerk an venezianischer Farbe und Form ließ den Traditionshörsaal der Grazer Kunstgeschichte in altem Glanz erstrahlen. Der Ausklang mit Buchpräsentation am Buffet folgte ebenfalls nach einer längeren Pause einer eingebürgerten Gepflogenheit des gemütlichen gedanklichen Austausches.
