In der begleitenden Lehrveranstaltung beschäftigen wir uns mit aktueller Kunst und Musik, wie sie sich bei einem Mehrspartenfestival wie dem steirischen herbst und dem ORF musikprotokoll vor und hinter den Kulissen präsentiert. Bei den gemeinsamen Konzert- und Veranstaltungsbesuchen setzten wir uns mit neuen künstlerischen Konzepten, Werken, Kompositionen, Performances, Installationen etc. auseinander, um danach über unsere Eindrücke und Einschätzungen aktueller Tendenzen in Kunst und Musik ins Gespräch zu kommen. Intendanz, Kuratorinnen und Kuratoren und Festivalmitarbeiterinnen und -mitarbeiter geben uns Einblicke in die Programmgestaltung und informieren in Gesprächsrunden, Vorträgen und Diskussionen vor Ort in den „herbst headquarters“ sowie an der Universität über historische und aktuelle Hintergründe der internationalen Festivalsorganisation.
