Yvonne Wasserloos studierte Musikwissenschaft, Neuere und Neueste Geschichte, Germanistik und Skandinavistik an der Westfälischen Wilhelms-Universität Münster. 2019 wurde sie zur Professorin für Musikwissenschaft an der Hochschule für Musik und Theater Rostock berufen. Ihre Schwerpunkte in Forschung und Lehre umfassen Kulturtransferprozesse im 18. und 19. Jahrhundert, Musik im Nationalsozialismus und Rechtsextremismus sowie die Erinnerungskultur und Rezeptionsforschung. Seit Oktober 2022 ist sie an der Universität Mozarteum tätig.
