Music as a Multi-Layered Space for Dialogu?

European musical culture as a space of dialogue: International conference in Bydgoszcz/Ostromecko

 
On 16–17 April 2026, the Ostromecko Palace and Park Complex will host the international conference “European Musical Culture as a Space of Dialogue. Traditions, Sources, Interpretations”, organised by the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, will take place at the Ostromecko Palace and Park Complex. The focus will be on contributions to European musical culture, the relationship between traditional music and compositional work, and European music from political and social perspectives. Further topics include music as a space for intergenerational dialogue and cultural institutions as venues for musical exchange. The conference thus explores the diverse intersections of tradition, source research and interpretation. In her lecture on Thursday

On April, 16 , Susanne Kogler will examine Music as a Multi-Layered Space for Dialogue and the Culture of New Music in Europe.
