Dr. Anne-Grit Becker

Das Institut für Kunstgeschichte freut sich sehr, dass es ab Februar mit Frau Anne-Grit Becker M.A. eine neue Universitätsassistentin für Moderne bekommt. Sie studierte Kunstgeschichte, ostasiatische Kunstgeschichte und Religionswissenschaft in Berlin und Paris. 2018 wurde sie mit einer Arbeit zum Thema „Körperabdruck und Bildprozess. Materialität der Zeit bei Cy Twombly und Robert Rauschenberg“ an der Freien Universität Berlin promoviert. Von 2012 bis 2015 war sie Stipendiatin der Gerda Henkel Stiftung, 2012 erhielt sie ein Forschungsstipendium an der NYU. Neben Lehrtätigkeiten an der Universität der Künste Berlin war sie bis 2018 wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am Kunsthistorischen Institut der FU Berlin. Im Zentrum ihrer Lehrveranstaltungen steht die Kunst der Moderne und Gegenwart in ihren verschiedenen Stoßrichtungen, ihre Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen in der US-amerikanischen Kunst nach 1945, der Kunsttheorie und Kunstkritik. Grundlegend für ihre Forschung und Lehre sind phänomenologische Zugänge zum Bild, Fragen nach dem Zusammenspiel von Materialität, Körper und Zeit sowie den Dynamiken intermediärer Kunstpraktiken.
