für die Exkursion Venedig Biennale mit Prof. Dr. Sabine Flach

Die Exkursion wird für 5 Tage auf die Biennale nach Venedig fahren, einer der bedeutendsten Kunstausstellungen der Welt.
Vor der eigentlichen Exkursion werden wir an einem Tag die historischen, kulturellen und politischen Voraussetzungen der Biennale in Venedig diskutieren und sie in Zusammenhang setzen zu anderen dominierenden Kunstausstellungen, um Similaritäten aber auch Unterschiede zu erkennen und um zu verstehen, warum und welche Konzepte und kuratorischen Entscheidungen Kunstausstellungen zugrunde liegen.

Darüber hinaus werden wir die Biennale in Venedig mit wichtigen theoretischen Konzepten zur Gegenwartskunst in Zusammenhang bringen. Das heißt vor Ort werden wir anhand von Referaten zu den Länderpavillions die konkreten Kunstwerke und Künstler/Innen diskutieren. Zudem werden wir anhand der konkreten Beispiele wichtige Konzepte – wie Gender, Race, Repräsentation, Nation/Nationalität etc. – diskutieren.
