The Eurovision Song Contest is considered the world’s biggest music show and a major driver of the economy and tourism for the city hosting it. This year, an estimated 160 million people are expected to watch on television, and 95,000 tickets have been sold for the shows at the Wiener Stadthalle. Among those speaking is Saskia Jaszoltowski from the Institute for Art and Music Studies, who has been conducting interdisciplinary research on the ESC for many years.
