Curriculum
The curriculum allows options for a wide range of specializations. Certain compulsory modules must be completed at the beginning (STEOP). Some practical skills such as reading music or basic knowledge of composition are essential for successful progression in the course. This knowledge - if not already available - should be acquired through self-study at the beginning of the course. Since 2017, there have been new curricula for the joint Bachelor of Musicology (Curriculum) and Master of Musicology (Curriculum) degree programs. In addition, a doctoral degree program (Curriculum) with a focus on musicology is also possible at the University of Graz.
